you can never have too much happy.

Happy Friday, all! It's me Sarah, and today, I just wanted to share one of my recent layouts.

If you're a subscriber to The Sampler, then you must know that my background paper for the layout below is included in the March kit. Check out how easy it is to use this one patterned paper to create a layout:

I basically scrapped around the title that was printed in the lower right hand corner. Oh, and the splatters across my page were from the October Afternoon spray from last month's kit.

Thanks for letting my share my last project using the March kit.

I Love Food

This was a fun layout to do. I started out with it all being shades of grey. I used the the stamp set and added some Lawn Fawn dies to create the subtitle I added some lines and did my journaling on a scrap piece of paper from the kit. I actually used the packaging from the alphabet to mat my photo for a great shade of cream.
I created the title by taking the yellow ink pad from the kit and running it on each letter then taking a baby wipe and rubbing off the excess on the resist. It also gave each letter a bit of a distress look from being wet.  A few birds, a handful of words, and some washi tape and I had a fun layout about my kitty's love of food.

Do What You Love

Hi everyone, Amy here to share my last layout using the gorgeous March kit.  I had to use that chevron paper one more time, along with the grey stripe...my two faves from the kit this month.

Here's a closeup, I had fun with the stamps in the kit!

If you haven't checked out the March kit over at SSRU, hurry up and do so before it's gone.

Happy Wednesday!

simple and easy card!

Hi, all. It's me, Sarah.

Today, I'm sharing a card that I created using March's kit.

It's an easy and simple card to create.

1. Pick a coordinating background using a patterned paper from this month's kit.
2. Cut out some of the hexagons from the My Mind's Eye Collectable paper also included in the kit; I used them in the corners of my card.
3. To get my sentiment to stand out more, cut out a small square for the middle of the card. I used the stickers "I", "LOVE", and "YOU" from the sticker sheet in the March kit. However, feel free to use whatever sentiment you wish.
4. Stamp a handful of butterflies using the stamp set in the March kit, and then cut them out.
5. Using foam squares, add them to your card to embellish.

Voila! You've made yourself a cute little card.

Spring is here!

Spring is here which means the start of baseball season is just 2 weeks away. I'm excited and hope the Rays can make it to the postseason again.
The layout started with the idea for the title. Which I cut with Lawn Fawn's Quinn's ABCs Dies and Stamps. I made the base of the layout with the white cardstock and the gold paper and tied them together with the blue ribbon. I did my journaling on one of the cards included with the envelopes and added it so it would look a bit like a base on the diamond.
A little washi tape, a label with the place, date, and
final score of the game. finished off the top of the layout and the bottom got a few more circles, washi tape, and a quote that sums up baseball for me. "We do not  remember the days...we remember the moments"
Thanks for stopping by. You can still get March's kit at SSRU.

Brace Face

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you another project I made with the Walking on Sunshine kit from the Sampler.

I have been having so much fun with the gorgeous colors in this kit as well as the wood pieces and wood washi.

washi tape, stamping, teen, braces

But I think one of my favorite things has to be the gorgeous resist alphas.  They are just too much fun to customize.
banner, stamping, resist, butterfly
And, although I am not much of a stamper, I couldn't resist stamping onto the cute "goodies" bag that came in my kit, embossing the butterflies and then cutting them out.  Making your own embellishments can be fun!  hee hee

Don't forget to check out the fun challenges going on right now here on the blog, you still have a few days to play.

Hugs.

tgif!

Hi, everyone. It's me Sarah.

Guess what? It's Friday! Who's excited for the weekend?! I am! Today, I wanted to do a quick share on a layout that I created using pieces from March's kit.

Yup, you're seeing that right. I'm using the butterflies from the stamp set included in this month's kit again. They're simple and easy to use, especially when you're making your very own customized embellishments.

Just add the butterflies to your layout using some foam adhesive, and you've got yourself your very own customized embellishment.

Hope you enjoyed my layout, and now go enjoy your weekend!

Party Time

Happy Thursday everyone! I started today's layout with the fun banner and this picture from my husband's holiday office party. I did the title with some black thickers from my stash and my Jenni Bowlin ticket punch. I stamped the doily from the stamp set in the kit in both Tide Pool and Bubblegum from Hero Arts and added them to the layout for a bit more pop.  A bit of journaling about where we had the photo taken and I had a quick layout that packs a punch.

You can pick up your own Walking on Sunshine kit at SSRU

My Blessing

I used the gorgeous Walking on Sunshine kit to create this layout about my sweet bonus baby.  I loved these pics I snapped of our shadows last fall.

I used my cameo for my title and misted a circle behind it to help it stand out.

Thanks for stopping by!

following the trend.

Ann posted a card yesterday, and so I thought I'd follow the trend - bloggin' about our latest cards, hehe. Today, I want to share my latest card using March's kit. Plus, I even got stamp happy and busted out my ink pads! I'm not really a card maker, so I'm pleased I even finished this one.

...and just so you all know, this month's kit comes with a super-duper cool My Mind's Eye stamp set, which includes fun little butterflies. For my card, I stamped a few of them, cut them out, and used them as embellishments for my card. It's a great way to create your own customized embellishment; besides, it'll save you a few pennies here and there! Just think - you could emboss some butterflies in a variety of colors to use on cards, layouts, mini albums, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Too Much Happy?

It's already March? This year is already starting to feel like it's flying by. The card I have to share with you today.  I used the Glitz paper that Amy used yesterday. I cut it out and used it with yellow cardstock and patterned paper from the kit. I used kraft cardstock from my stash and buttons from last month's kit to finish off the card.  I finished the card on the inside with the greeting "choose happiness" to send to a friend who needs some cheering up.

I hope everyone has a great week. <3 Ann

Hockey Weekends

When the March kit Walking on Sunshine arrived at my door, I couldn't wait to get creating.  The first layout I created was about our hockey weekends.  I trimmed the saying from the Glitz patterned paper and built my layout around it.

I added some of Chic Tags new Road Trip tags, they matched the kit perfectly!

Here is a closeup.  I cut the title and large arrow using the Heidi Swapp paper and my Cameo.

This kit is just full of all sorts of great stuff!  Check back soon for the kit picture and contents.
