12 months, 12 mini albums

Hey Everybody! Holly here with a mini tutorial for a mini album! Each month I receive a wonderful kit from The Sampler, I make a few projects, and then I always have a ton of scraps left. (because these kits are huge!) So I decided to make a mini album each month using those scraps so i have a place for all the "extra" photos that i inevitably print.

I started with a standard size. Since most of my photos are 4x4 or 4x6, i based my album on that and came up with a 5x7 album.

I piled up all of my "scraps" and cut them to size. Some pages fit the album perfectly, some are a little short on either the width or height. A few of the pages i punched the edges with a scalloped punch.
Once all my pages were cut, i folded them in half and made a stack of the the pages in a desired order. Along that fold, I punched two holes on each page using a 3/16th" punch so they line up with the other pages. Lastly, I used a length of the Baker's Twine (included in the kit) to bind the pages together. after stringing three twine through each hole, I simply tied a knot to hold the book binding together.

embellishing the album was super easy with this month's kit. I cut "jan" from one of the pattern papers and layered 2013 from the alphabet. A few embellishments from the packs included and, finally, the yellow ribbon to literally tie the whole thing together.

I love how this mini came together and, even more so, i cannot wait to see what the upcoming months bring or how they turn into mini albums!
