I've used all of the bits and pieces from my January 2013 Live Life kit already! The vellum hearts in the kit reminded me of Brandon's pajamas when he was really little. I searched and searched for this photo in my stash because I knew it would be perfect with the colors in the kit.

My Mom gave my niece these pajamas when she was a baby. She outgrew them and Brandon inherited them. They had images from the book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" on the front and were warm and fuzzy. The pajamas couldn't have been more perfect because my baby boy was always VERY hungry. I used my January 2013 kit from The Sampler Kit Club called "Live Life" to create this page. I was inspired by a sketch from Kristine Davidson.

I have one more layout to share! I made this project with the last scraps from my November 2012 kit from The Sampler kit club. It was called Home Sweet Home and I loved it so much. I used some older photos of Brandon catching the baby goats at my grandmother's house. He just looks so happy in these photos! I was inspired by sketch #54 from Susan Stringfellow's blog.

Don't forget to raid your older kits so you make make awesome stuff!

Growing up

I am in total denial that my baby girl is growing up.  This past summer was particularly hard on the both of us.  I wanted to create a layout to document that although growing up is hard on us both, I will always be there to help her through whatever I can.  The January kit was perfect for my layout, of course.

Here are some closeups.  I cut out one of the speech bubbles from the Amy Tangerine paper and used a mask and the awesome Heidi Swapp mist on one of the Pebbles speech bubbles.

This closeup shows another Pebbles speech bubble that I covered with patterned paper.

This might be my favorite layout I created with the kit.  Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to check out the January challenges!

Ball Drop

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a project I made with the January kit,  Live Life.  I love the Heidi Swap mist that is in this kit and I couldn't resist using it in two different ways on this project.  First I splattered bits of mist on my background paper and then I sprayed my Jillibean letters with it to change their color.
This kit has been so much fun to work with that I know it will sell out soon.

The January challenges are up so don't forget to check out the blog post for your chance at some great prizes.  There is a super cute sketch for layouts as well as fabulous card inspiration.

12 months, 12 mini albums

Hey Everybody! Holly here with a mini tutorial for a mini album! Each month I receive a wonderful kit from The Sampler, I make a few projects, and then I always have a ton of scraps left. (because these kits are huge!) So I decided to make a mini album each month using those scraps so i have a place for all the "extra" photos that i inevitably print.

I started with a standard size. Since most of my photos are 4x4 or 4x6, i based my album on that and came up with a 5x7 album.

I piled up all of my "scraps" and cut them to size. Some pages fit the album perfectly, some are a little short on either the width or height. A few of the pages i punched the edges with a scalloped punch.
Once all my pages were cut, i folded them in half and made a stack of the the pages in a desired order. Along that fold, I punched two holes on each page using a 3/16th" punch so they line up with the other pages. Lastly, I used a length of the Baker's Twine (included in the kit) to bind the pages together. after stringing three twine through each hole, I simply tied a knot to hold the book binding together.

embellishing the album was super easy with this month's kit. I cut "jan" from one of the pattern papers and layered 2013 from the alphabet. A few embellishments from the packs included and, finally, the yellow ribbon to literally tie the whole thing together.

I love how this mini came together and, even more so, i cannot wait to see what the upcoming months bring or how they turn into mini albums!

My One Little Word

The January kit was perfect for me to document my one little word for 2013.  I decided my word would be "give".  I want to do my best to give back in all areas of my life.  I want to give my best to my family, to my friends, and to society.  Here is my layout documenting my OLW. Everything is from the kit except for a few extra tags from Chic Tags.

Here are some closeups.

This is such an amazing kit, definitely head over to SSBRU and grab yours today!

Nine Months

The fun colors in this kit made it perfect to create Davis' nine month page, and  I was so excited to be able to use the cute elephant from Amy Tangerine. :)

This month's kit is just packed with so much great stuff!  Everything is from the kit except for the Noted Chic Tag and the mistable arrows (I used the amazing Heidi Swapp Color Shine-which is in the kit on the arrows).

1 Goofy Girl

Hi everyone, Nancy here and today I wanted to tell you how much I am loving this month's kit, Live Life!  It is so super cute, just filled with all kinds of fabulous goodies.  I couldn't wait to dig in.

This kit is just so full of gorgeous colors, patterns and embellishments.  I love all the texture with the corrugated alphabets and bakers twine.

I used a sketch from PageDrafts to create this project.  It was a holiday sketch, but I have been all about the banners lately, and this kit has such a great collection of patterns to mix and match to make them, I just couldn't resist.  And with my cute little Papertrey Ink banner dies and the gorgeous goodies in the kit (including my other current love, baker's twine.  hee hee) This project came together in a snap.  Can I just say how much I love the pink.

Be sure and check out this month's gorgeous kit and all the others at the Sampler and don't forget to try our card and sketch challenge for your chance to win some great prizes.
