Holly here to share some December Daily (DD) fun! I love this time of year and I totally try my best to rock a December Daily Album. This year is no different other than I'm using my December kit from The Sampler to make my album fabulous.
Ok, so I picked up a great vintage address book while I was antiquing with a friend a few months ago. I knew I wanted to do red and teal/turquoise for my DD this year. I fell in love with the slightly unusual size and faded color of this album. Not wanting to cover the exterior much I used just a few pieces from the kit to make my cover.
I also used a scrap from the November kit to make a diecut and adhered that along the side. I'm a total scrap saver. Organized by color they almost haunt me at my craft desk! BUT, then the perfect opportunity comes up (which happens often with the Cameo fired up) and I'm SO SO SO glad I saved that piece from the recycling.
Inside my album was the original notepaper along with alphabet tabs because it was a address book after all. Given the age of the notepaper, it is a little weak to actually use as a base, but the tab pages we're in pretty good shape. The glue holding the letters on wasn't so strong either, so I pulled the tabs that would spell "holidays" and re-adhered them so the pages I put into my album let the word "holidays" stick out. I particularly like that the "y" is "xyz"!
A good number of people who make December Daily albums pretty well assemble the whole album in one go before December actually starts. Not me. Being that its merely Dec 4th right now, my album only has a couple days of actual photos/journaling along with a healthy dose of supplies pulled from my December kit and my stash.
I hope where ever you are, no matter what you celebrate, you're having a wonderful December!
